I have a new request: What show is it where Karl says, 'His mate had a monkey. Had to thump it in the head. Only went and tried it on with his wife.' and what episode is my signature from? Thanks.

Posted by lwatkins: does anypone know which podcast Karl says ".. ... ... ... *somethin somethin somethin, have a fly about"
I honestly have no idea, can we have some context or something? I mean, can you remember anything else that was in the conversation? For example.

Yeh cheers. Just remembered it.
That's one of the best laugh out loud moments from Karl; considering Ricky and Steve don't actually laugh that hard.

That's O.K., basically I tried to be clever with the thread name, and ended up making it too obscure, ah well, I still like it anyway.
Yeah I think I know which part you mean, Karl sort of answers in a frustrated way *sigh*"...I wish me name was Brett", that does sound like it's from a Podcast though.... interesting!

I have a new request: What show is it where Karl says, 'His mate had a monkey. Had to thump it in the head. Only went and tried it on with his wife.' and what episode is my signature from? Thanks. The first occurence of the monkey thumping was on 21 June 2003 from Season 2 of the XFM shows. Not sure of the episode number though, it tends to differ depending on what site you're looking at.

It's mostly accepted that if you take all the non-karl episodes into account, that would be episode.... *checking own files* 66, if you count episode one as dating from 10 of November 2001 (which is sadly an incomplete episode, but still).
I think all the non-karl episodes are valid, maybe the Ian Camfield one isn't that great (although it had its moments), but I do like to hear Claire Sturgess laughing as much as some of us are at home.

Just wondering if anyone knows the one where Steve Merchant plays Rage against the Machine at a scout jamboree. Love Smerch anecdotes.
